Washington State started Open Doors Youth Reengagement Program in effort to reach students that have disengaged from their education. This program targets students ages 16-21, who have dropped out of school or are not expected to receive their diploma by age 21. Students will have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma, GED or gain experience in a vocational career path.
Requirements:
- Under 21 years of age at the beginning of the school year but whose 16th birthday occurs on or before
September 1st.
- Has yet to meet the districts graduation requirements as of September 1st of the current school year.
- At the time of enrollment the student is significantly behind in credits based on their cohort graduation
date.
